This is a fantastic and original take on the friends to lovers trope.
All the much needed and requirements for a FTL romance are there, including a smexcy dominant leading man and young an ‘somewhat’ innocent leading lady who knows her mind and herself.
Factor in that each is responsible for raising a child and that with the aid of each other, they have taken the place of ‘friend spouse’ and been co parenting and supporting each other by childminding whilst the other is in work..a single parent support group brought them together…nothing about this relationship is going to be nice and easy.
Woah, this book was not what I was expecting..and I loved that!! This was my first read by this author and I was expecting a light and fluffy FTL….I was blown away the wonderful story about an uncle dealing with so much more than looking after his niece, filled with emotion and big feels that run through every parent who has a child never mind one that has additional needs and I was not expecting to be hit by the intense chemistry between Caleb and Lexi ( that was off the charts! 🔥🔥) hawt dayum this author can write!
Now this is book 3 in the Boys of the Big Easy Series, I was able to read this as a standalone… because the characters and the story were so well written and engrossing…but after reading this book… you can bet your book allowance that I’ve got the earlier books on my tbr list!!!
