Minotaur: Blooded (The Bestial Tribe #1) by Naomi Lucas

First in series, Minotaur: Blooded

Vedikus Bathyr.

He prowled the overgrown passages at the farthest edges where the true, intelligent beasts roamed. They were all there for the same reasons: to kill each other and capture the humans that entered the labyrinth.

On one fated night a human girl called out to him. A girl with a voice that quickened his blood.

But he wasn’t the only one to hear her call…

She was tricked. She was sacrificed. She was saved.

Review by Bubbles The Book Pimp

Aldora is walking home to her parents farm when she makes the fatal mistake of stopping at the wall… and talking to the voice on the other side.

Caught and brought before the town ruler she is deemed a witch and therefore a sacrifice to the mist and thrown into the labyrinth.

Waiting for his prize on the other side is the Minotaur..Vedikus… after hearing the sweet voice call to him over the wall.. he has come to one conclusion… she is his and he will kill all that try to take her. ☠️☠️☠️

I love authors who think outside the box when it comes to their stories…and for me Naomi Lucas is one of those authors… be warned this is not a light and fluffy read… it’s dark and twisty… there are no declarations of love or hearts and flowers… there’s pain and darkness and lots of blood…. and that’s great… because I love to read different genres.. I don’t alway want hearts and flowers… sometimes horns and hooves are just as great! 😈😈😈

A totally new and original story that is built on solid fantasy and darkness. If the Grimm brothers wrote a Minotaur story it wouldn’t have been half as atmospheric as this bad boy!

I loved the fact that it almost toed into horror…a theme that I have enjoyed from countless books by this author.

This is book 1 and it is a fantastic introduction to a new series. I’m looking forward to seeing where this stories goes and what unwilling prey the rest of the tribe catch in the Labyrinth.
