Holy shit balls… I’ve haven’t read anything by this author before… I saw the beautiful cover and the blues and thought hell yeah that looks fun to read… FUN SHE SAID!! I’m literally an emotional wreck.. dragged through the ringer. This book was completely not what I was expecting and I FREAKING LOVE WHEN THAT HAPPENS!!!
Maddox and Amo’s story is a strange one, left to their own devices they would have been able to make things work and naturally come together but.. my lord the author liked to torture them with many cruel scenarios..and believe me they came thick and fast, I’d find myself just getting over one and KABLEEWY..another would be dropped on them…and boy did I rub my hands in book pimp glee!!
BRING ON THE DRAMA 😈😈😈 emotional whiplash one scenario at a time!!
Now I’m not saying I could read a book like this every day…not because it’s bad.. it’s not… it’s freaking great!!!… but it’s scores very high in the angst factor.
If your a sensitive reader then this is your #triggerwarning.. because this is not a fluffy tale of sweet love between two people, it’s quite hard, gritty and filled with quite dark sexual scenes….but you need to suspend some disbelief and just roll with it.. it’s make believe and it’s pretend and it’s all things great about creative writing and the wonderful worlds that authors come up with.
As for me, I will be checking out more of this authors other works.. after I’ve had some chocolate and stoked a few puppies 😂😂😂
