Everywhere is booked up..too much time, effort and planning has gone into this event and she desperately does not want to cancel.
But when Roarke Baldwin, a dishy silver fox propositions Hannah with the possibility of a venue and saving her Gala in exchange for 5 favours….she is more than hesitant…as her ex husbands divorce lawyer, he is the last man she would ever go to for help!

This book was an absolute pleasure to read…. especially, when you realise, hidden in the hawtness was a great story that gave great big dollops of FEELS. Having both been burnt in previous relationships, theirs was a story about allowing themselves to put their trust and faith in others…and it was wonderfully done.
The fact that it was about an older couple ( as in not mid 20’s ) really appealed to me too!! yayayay writer due for breaking out of the romcom age bubble!!!
The banter between Roarke and Hannah was fantastic and I got a real kick out of their dialogue and the build up of tension between them. Hannah was fantastically fiesty and despite her doubts and concerns regarding Roarke, not just because his connection to her husband…she looked past her preconceptions and saw the man he actually was.
I freaking adored Roarke, I wasn’t sure what to make of him at first but that’s what i found so great about this book…it was about not judging a book by its cover…even if the cover is a confident charming silver fox! and dayum he was so much more!!
I hadn’t had the pleasure of reading the previous in series BUT after reading Happy Hour I will definitely be diving into the earlier books.
