Soul Deep: Triton Security Book 1

Becca is 25 and has had a rough go of things, following the break up of her parents relationship and total abandonment by her father, who didn’t want her but only her older brother carter. Separated from her brother and left with her emotionally absent mother, She has certain ideals when it comes to men….that mean she is looking for someone special her soulmate and nothing less will do.

After her mother remarried and as soon as she’s old enough, at 19, Becca heads off to Denver to complete cosmetology school and hopefully build a relationship with her brother, Carter ( who at 25 ) she barely knows… what she doesn’t expect to find is her soulmate, who is married…Tristan the owner of Triton Security… and Carters boss and best friend.

Fast forward a few years and Becca has avoided Tristan like the plague, despite separating and divorcing his wife he has made it very clear that he has no interest in her. Finding herself heart broken she resigns herself to the fact that she must move on.

Following a friends bridal hair emergency, Becca called in to save the day, finds her self once again in Tristan’s path as a guest at the brides wedding.. after an drunken altercation between the two, she decides to leave Denver to regroup at her cabin.
Unbeknown to Becca, Tristan is far from in interested in Becca, he has been in love with her from the moment he met her but obligations and promises to his friend Carter held him back biding his time and waiting for their opportunity to become a couple. Tristan is done waiting, and when Becca returns from her trip he makes it his mission to prove how deep in it he is for for.. Soul Deep.

So there I am diving into my newest arc… the blurb and teaser caught my attention with its sass and humour…and to be fair I was hooked from the first page…

This was my first book read by Ashley Lyn and I found myself laughing out loud and loving it, Becca is an absolute nut…her antics are so creative and well written. There was not a time that I felt the laughs were manufactured they felt natural and I adored everyone of them.

Underneath her nuttiness shield was a woman who was struggling with abandonment and self doubt and all the painful things that come to roost inside of someone who feels like they aren’t worthy. Despite her moments of self doubt ahe was a strong ass girl who caught those inner demons and made them her bitch… even when it looked like Tristan was making progress she wasn’t going to roll over and take him at face value until she trusted him and proved himself.

Which I adored… too many written FMC take and accept bull crap from MC without the slightest of questioning their past transgressions and behaviour. I adored that she challenged him.
Tristan was a fantastic MC, he was brilliantly written I loved how he was gruff, bossy, comedic and caring.. I thought it was great that he wore his heart on his sleeve and put it all out there for Becca to see.

At about 50% into this book…my delightfully funny and fantastically hawt romantic comedy kicked up a gear and the Security part of Triton Security showed it’s TEETH 🦖🦖🦖… and by showed it’s teeth, I mean turns round and slapped me full on in my ever loving book brain and threw all manner of intrigue, subplots, sneaky dealings and human trafficking and espionage at me!

I was MIND-BLOWN 🤯🤯🤯

Whilst keeping me deep in the love fest that was Becca and Tristan. I can’t say anymore without giving away spoilers and I won’t because it’s to great a read to ruin.

To say I was stunned daft.. is putting it mildly! BUT in a freaking GREAT WAY… The twists and revelations in this book keep coming even into the epilogue and I for one will defiantly be looking out for the next book in this series because HAWT DAYUM… I was not expecting the last half of this book!
