🚗 Blog Tour 🚗 The Varlet and The Voyeur by Penny Reid and L.H Cosway

The Varlet and the Voyeur

all-new standalone in the USA Today bestselling Rugby Series from Penny Reid and L.H. Cosway

He kept his salacious secret for years. But soon, everyone is going to be reading about it in their morning paper…

THE VARLET (and the VOYEUR)

William Moore is a long way from home. A farm boy from Oklahoma, he’s now the most well-respected member of the Irish rugby team. But appearances are often deceptive, and Will isn’t the clean-cut, all-American good-guy everyone imagines him to be. He’s got a secret, one that will tarnish his reputation forever.

THE VOYEUR (and the VARLET)

Joesy Kavanagh is a self-proclaimed mess, but she’s finally get her shi…uh, act together. She’s set her sights on becoming a veterinarian, but there’s one teeny tiny road bump. Her living arrangements are coming to an abrupt end, leaving Joesy homeless and in need of a job to pay her way through college.

THE PLAN

What he needs is a companion to keep him on the right path.

What she needs is an apartment with free rent.

Will is convinced Joesy will make the perfect companion, since she’s brutally honest and basically ‘just one of the guys.’  Joesy is convinced she can ensure Will doesn’t succumb to his voyeuristic proclivities by keeping a scrupulous eye on him.

Except, what happens when the varlet is tempted by the voyeur, and vice-versa?!

Perchance something very, very volatile. And vexing.

The Varlet and the Voyeur is a full-length romantic comedy novel, can be read as a standalone, and is the 4th (and last) book in the USA TODAY bestselling Rugby Series.

Book 4 in the Rugby Series by Penny Reid and L.H.Cosway.

William Mason is a side charachter from the series that caught my attention, especially in the last book. I had some trepidation about this book because of his romantic feelings towards Elish….who would the writer duo have as a match for the stoic, deep thinking American farm boy…

Josey…is Elish’s friend. She lives at home with her parents, what she lacks in social communication skills she makes up with a awkward but bubbly personality and charm. When her parents drop the bomb that they are down sizing and Josey needs to start becoming the adult she actually is.. she knows she’s in for a rough time… a veterinary student trying to afford and pay for a semi hospitable accommodation is gonna be a challenge… she needs a job, a well paying, affordable job..that won’t impact too much into her studies.

When Josey is introduced to William as a potential live in employee, following the breaking scandal and revelation about his voyeristic tendencies.. it seems that they have both hit the roommate jack pot…. Josey with a new affordable home and William with an employee to help him stay on track.

Josey is resigned to see William as a girl! Not the beef cake he is… and William is determined to see josey as his employee and not a girl!!

From the moment I picked up the first in this series it has been a favourite of mine and to learn that this was and is the last in the series made me so very sad because I love the charachters that the authors come up with.
Opposites in every way..facing their own internal battles..in one way or another… It was only right that this final in series should have the most opposite of charachters together.

There were some utterly fantastic interactions between Josey and William…( CAKE!! 😂😂🔥🔥❤️❤️) and I honestly did love viewing William’s internal struggle with rules and boundaries and his rigidity when it came to breaking them.
It was fantastic gaining insight into one of the past books side characters who had really teased my interest.
( I’m hoping there will be a spin off or potential new series by introduction of Ophelia??? )

This book didn’t disappoint, it had all the great bits that made me love this series… the goofy but endearing girl, the gruff ‘more than meets the eye’ boy, belly rocking funny feels and pure swoon worthy chemistry filled moments that make ( me ) reread and sigh in abject happiness!
